Meet the Guides & Crew
Brian Roberts
Brian is a guide and the owner of Teepee Creek Outfitters. Raised in southern Ohio, where he honed his skills hunting whitetail deer, he pursued his passion for the outdoors to Montana, where he guided hunters in the backcountry for 12 years. He started to work for Todd France in 2020, successfully guiding hunters in the Gravelly Range. In 2024, Todd entrusted Brian to take over the outfit. Brian got his outfitter license and created Teepee Creek Outfitters. As a seasoned guide, Brian thrives in the mountains, combining his expertise with a relentless work ethic to ensure every hunter's success. He’s committed to the big game chase and won’t rest until his clients have an unforgettable hunting experience. Brian makes sure his team is highly experienced, the camp is comfortable, and that hunters have everything they need for a successful and enjoyable experience.
Alyssa Roberts
Alyssa, co‑owner of Teepee Creek Outfitters, is central to everything we do, skillfully multitasking to continually enhance the overall hunting experience. As camp cook she prepares hearty, satisfying meals that fuel hunters and bring everyone together around the table. Hunting whitetail since 2013 alongside Brian, her passion has steadily grown and she continually expands her skills and knowledge as an outdoorswoman. As a guide and co‑owner, she combines practical outdoor experience with genuine care—leading trips safely and thoughtfully while creating memorable hunts for every guest.
Austin Vaughn
“My name is Austin Vaughn. I am the oldest of 3 brothers. I’m currently working towards my journeyman plumbing license in Manhattan, Montana. I grew up in Oregon, hunting Blacktail deer and Roosevelt elk in some of the thickest country. Hunting for me isn’t all about harvesting an animal; it’s about the experiences, friendships, smiles, and laughs. Creating a well-rounded experience is something I will strive for.”
Austin is a reliable and skilled hunting guide who brings steady leadership and local knowledge to every trip. Now in his third year at Teepee Creek, he combines practical experience with patient instruction, helping hunters of all levels read terrain, track game, and make ethical shots. Colleagues and clients appreciate his calm judgment, attention to safety, and commitment to ensuring each outing is productive and memorable.
Sam Olney
Growing up in a rural fishing community along northwest Washington, Sam has become an avid outdoorsman with a strong passion for elk hunting. Through his years chasing elk with a bow, Sam brings a very high energy and knowledge of pursuing the big western game. Believe it or not, Sam loves to cook just as much as he loves to chase elk. He’s always excited to meet every new client in camp.
Sam is a great guide who brings skill, patience, and a personable approach to every trip. Now in his third year with us, he consistently puts clients at ease, tailoring the experience to their comfort level and making sure everyone feels welcome and well cared for. His knowledge of the area and calm leadership make each outing enjoyable and memorable.
Jeff Klein
Jeff, a former firefighter turned electrician, grew up hunting blacktail deer and wild pigs along California’s Central Coast. His love of hunting has carried him across the country, pursuing deer, elk, moose, and mountain goats in a variety of landscapes. With extensive field experience and a passion for the outdoors, Jeff looks forward to meeting new clients and helping create unforgettable big-game hunting trips. This is his third year guiding for Teepee Creek.
Brendon Baker
Brendon Baker is one of the outstanding members of the Teepee Creek Outfitters crew. Baker grew up in Washington. He’s an avid big game and waterfowl hunter, with a deep understanding of wildlife, terrain, and what it takes to be successful in the field. He is also a United States Marine Corps veteran, bringing discipline, leadership, and a strong sense of service into everything he does. Here in the mountains, Baker’s grit, sharp instincts, and steady presence make him an exceptional guide and an even better teammate. He has a deep respect for the land, a relentless work ethic, and a genuine commitment to making sure every hunter has a safe, memorable, and successful experience. We’re incredibly grateful to have Baker as part of the Teepee Creek family. Thank you for your service—and for continuing to give your all here in the mountains.
CAMP CREW
Molly Patterson
“Hey ya’ll! I’m Molly Patterson, I’m originally from Tennessee and have lived in Montana for 13 years. Although I’m not a hunter (YET), I’m an avid lover of the outdoors! When I’m not in hunting camp, I row cargo and camp host on the Smith River. Lover of woods and water! Making people happy and comfortable is my game!”
We’re fortunate to have Molly chopping firewood, getting meals ready, tending camp, and watching over the horses! She is a friend to everyone and always brings laughs to the group!
Devon Brunswick
Meet Devon — a farrier, wrangler, and dependable camp packer. Originally from Georgia, he brings southern grit, kindness, and a strong work ethic to the Montana mountains. Whether packing, assisting around camp, or shoeing horses with Brian, Devon consistently shows up ready to tackle whatever needs doing. We’re fortunate to have him on the team year-round; he brightens the day with a ready laugh and a friendly presence.
Sally Dog
Sally is truly the best family, cattle-working, camp dog ever. With her keen senses she serves as a steadfast guardian of the campsite, always alert to potential predators. (She is the best at chasing bears out of camp!) Her protective instincts ensure everyone feels safe and secure. Sally's friendly demeanor makes her a beloved camp crew member. She greets every visitor with enthusiasm and affection, quickly becoming a cherished companion to all.
